TRANSPORT AS A FACTOR OF SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: CURRENT TRENDS AND PROSPECTS

Annotation. The relevance of the article is related to the study of the main elements of cooperation between states in the field of transport, considering it as an essential component of the global economy and international integration. The aim of the study is to identify effective tools and promising vectors for strengthening international transport cooperation in the context of global transformations. Methodology. The following methods were used in this study: a systematic approach, institutional analysis, comparative analysis, problem-oriented analysis, SWOT analysis of the transport industry, etc. Results. The assessment of the current situation in the field of international cooperation in the transport sector has allowed us to identify a number of fundamental areas and models of interaction: the expansion of the network of international highways, harmonization and unification of legislation, digitalization and information exchange, cooperation in the field of sustainable transport, strengthening the role of international organizations. The study also examines the models, advantages and difficulties associated with cross-border transport interaction, including political, economic, legal and technological aspects. Conclusions. Interstate cooperation in the transport industry is a crucial condition for maintaining global trade, economic recovery and sustainable development. The harmonization of legislation, the development of international transport corridors, digital transformation and joint efforts to decarbonize the transport sector are key areas for improving the efficiency and sustainability of cross-border transport.
