TRANSPORT AS A FACTOR OF SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: CURRENT TRENDS AND PROSPECTS

Annotation. The relevance of this article is related to the role of transport in achieving the goals of sustainable economic development in the context of modern global challenges. The study analyzes not only the traditional functions of transport, such as ensuring mobility and communication, but also its growing impact on the environmental situation, social equality and stimulating innovation. The main objective of the study is to identify promising ways to transform transport infrastructure in order to reduce the negative impact on the external environment and maximize its contribution to the formation of a stable and comprehensively developed economy. Methodology. In this study, an integrated approach was used, including: system analysis, comparative analysis, PEST analysis, etc. Results. The article evaluates current trends, including the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in the transport sector, the introduction of digital technologies in logistics, the development of combined transport and the use of intelligent transport systems. Special attention is paid to the problems related to the increase in traffic flows, the impact on the environment and the need to improve the efficiency of logistics operations. Conclusions. Based on the analysis, promising directions for the development of the transport system in the era of globalization and technological change have been identified; public-private partnership (PPP) is becoming increasingly important as an important mechanism for providing public services around the world; a reassessment of the traditional “more roads, more development” approach is required in favor of an integrated, environmentally responsible and socially oriented approach. the approach.
