Annotation. The purpose of the study was to study both the total number of analytical centers in the world and the analysis of the products of a specific analytical center.: The V-Dem Institute. The aim of the study was also possible recommendations on the use of analytical tools of the V-Dem Institute in the educational process. All the proposed analytical tools are investigated: A mapping tool ; A graph of variables; A radar map of the country; A variable radar map; A regional comparison; A thematic comparison; A dot diagram; A conjugacy table; Critical problem factor; V-forecast; Demspace; Independent researcher. Illustrative examples have been created for all tools. The analysis of the distribution of analytical centers by countries of the world is also carried out. Results. Author’s examples have been built/obtained for all the proposed analytical tools, which confirmed the functionality of the proposed toolkit. Conclusions. 1. Analytical centers are thought factories where competitive development strategies are developed and therefore they need to be studied. 2. The list of calculated indicators used in the tools proposed by the V-Dem Institute certainly expands and deepens the understanding of the subject area under study, therefore it is useful for both professional researchers and students. 3. The methodology for obtaining the initial information that makes up the calculation base is unclear, so questions remain about the quality, including the objectivity of the information used. 4. The results obtained have all the signs of a biased attitude towards both Russia and the CIS countries, with the exception of those countries that have already been developed by the EU and the USA. 5. The methods of analysis used in specific analytical tools are of interest. 6. The analytical tools of the V-Dem Institute can be recommended for the educational process, both to expand knowledge about the indicators used, and to form critical analysis competencies. The results obtained must necessarily be the subject of discussion.
