Abstract. The relevance of research. In the context of the increasing complexity of social, economic and managerial systems, there is an increasing need for methodologies that make it possible to predict and manage the behavior of systems at bifurcation points. Traditional mathematics, rooted in ancient Chinese military thought, offers a rich range of indirect actions, but until now it has remained primarily a descriptive discipline. Research methods. The work uses a historical and philosophical analysis of the development of the stratagem tradition, systematization of the contributions of key scientists, as well as a methodological synthesis of stratagematics with synergetics, a 19-factor personality model (author’s development) and mathematical modeling of bifurcations. Results. Five stages of the evolution of stratagem knowledge are identified and characterized: [14] the origin in the military-philosophical tradition of Ancient China; [6] systematization in the treatise “36 stratagems”; [7] reconstruction and globalization by Harro von Sanger; [11] institutionalization in Russian science (stratagematics); [10] stratagem modeling as an author’s development by Evseev V.O., characterized by formalization, integration with synergy and applied expansion. Conclusions. The stratagem modeling proposed by the author represents a qualitatively new stage in the development of stratagematics, introducing quantitative parameters of the state of systems, 19-factor personality analysis, calculation of bifurcation points and classification of operational traps. This field can claim the status of a new scientific school integrating the philosophical tradition of indirect actions with modern methods of system analysis.
