Annotation. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the global biometric technology market, which is in a phase of rapid growth with a projected volume of more than 322 billion US dollars by 2035. The research focuses on technological methods (face, fingerprint, voice recognition), the competitive landscape dominated by multinational corporations (IDEMIA, Thales, NEC) and the dynamically developing Russian segment. Special attention is paid to the unique biometrization model in Russia, based on the Unified Biometric System (UBS) and Sberbank’s active role as a technological driver, as evidenced by the explosive growth of biometric payments [2, 3, 5]. The article considers in detail the key results of the implementation, socio-economic efficiency and ethical and legal challenges. Based on the analysis, strategic recommendations are formulated to strengthen Russia’s position in the international arena, including the development of multimodal solutions, the export of platform models and the formation of domestic technological standards.
