OUR WORLD IS IN DATA. WEBSITE RESEARCH. THE POSSIBILITIES OF USING MATERIALS IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

Annotation. The purpose of the study was to explore the possibilities of using the website “Our World in Data” in the educational process when training specialists in the field of foreign regional studies and international cooperation. All sections of the site have been examined: Browsing by topic; Data; Insight; Resources; About us, which in turn are divided into sections and subsections. Illustrative examples have been created in some areas. Methodology. Comparative analysis is mainly used. When working with databases in EXCEL, correlation and regression analysis can be used. The results. For the topics under study, the results can be obtained in cartographic, graphical, and tabular format. The site contains more than 15,000 dependencies submitted for study. Conclusions.1. Analytical competencies, in the formation of professional competencies, become dominant in the process of substantiating and making managerial decisions. 2. Almost all the information presented on the website is relevant not only for the training of specialists in foreign regional studies, but also for the analysis of all aspects of public administration. 3. The website provides excellent opportunities to involve students in the research process by analyzing thematic issues and translating the results into research reports. 4. The results obtained must necessarily be the subject of discussion.
